Refund and Returns Policy

1. Shipping

Shipping Zones

Our Leonidas shops ship to Belgium and other European countries. Import and customs fees for non-European countries are the responsibility of the recipient.

For shipments outside the European Union, it is very unlikely but possible that customs services may physically inspect the package. This can cause a delivery delay of 24 to 72 hours. We cannot be held responsible for this unfortunate delay.

Shipping Address

Orders are delivered to the address provided by the customer. All fields are required. You must include a phone number. Please enter it without spaces or country codes. If your address doesn’t have a postal code, please enter “n/a” in the postal code field.

We do not deliver to PO boxes or military bases.

Delivery requires a signature upon receipt. We deliver during business hours. Please provide an address where you know the recipient, or another adult, will be available to receive the package. In some countries, the carrier may leave the package at the door or with a neighbor if requested in the delivery instructions field. We cannot guarantee that the carrier will follow these instructions. For hotels and hospitals, we only deliver to the reception desk. Please clearly state the guest’s arrival date or the patient’s room number so the facility can arrange delivery to the correct room. We consider internal delivery to the guest’s or patient’s room to be the responsibility of the hotel or hospital.

Delivery Times

We prepare orders with the utmost care within 24 to 48 business hours.

Delivery times vary by carrier and destination but are generally between 1 and 3 business days after shipping.

For orders of €290 or more (including VAT), delivery may take longer than expected. In this case, you will receive a notification with the required timeframe.

The delivery period begins once payment is received, provided all products are in stock, and from the moment the package is handed over to the delivery service.

We are not responsible if our delivery partners are unable to deliver the package within the specified timeframe due to force majeure (strikes, weather conditions, high package volume at certain times of the year, etc.), or if the address provided is incorrect or incomplete, or in case of absence. No compensation can be claimed for delays.

Shipments delivered to a collection point and not picked up within 7 days will be automatically returned to us. In this case, no refund will be possible. The cost of a new delivery will be the buyer’s responsibility.

In case of high heat (25°C or more in Belgium or the shipping country), we reserve the right to postpone shipping to ensure the quality of our products. Additionally, we do not hand over packages to our delivery partners on Fridays to ensure optimal storage conditions over the weekend.

Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated automatically at checkout based on:

• the chosen delivery method,

• the weight/volume of the order,

• the destination.

Since July 1, 2021, VAT is calculated based on the destination country, so the price may change for deliveries outside Belgium (in accordance with the new European law).

Free in-store pickup may also be offered depending on the shop selected.

Special Conditions for Chocolate

Since Leonidas products are sensitive to heat and temperature fluctuations, we do everything possible to ensure optimal delivery.

During periods of high heat, appropriate solutions may be applied (insulated packaging, shipping delays, etc.).

However, we cannot be held responsible for damage caused by failure to follow receipt conditions (e.g., package left in direct sunlight, package not picked up quickly enough from a relay point, etc.).

2. Returns & Claims

Right of Withdrawal

In accordance with Belgian legislation on online sales, the right of withdrawal does not apply to perishable goods, which include our chocolate products.

This means that returns or refunds are not accepted for reasons of taste or change of mind.

Defective Products or Order Errors

If there is an error with your order, please contact us within 48 hours of receipt with:

• the order number,

• a description of the problem,

• photos of the product in question.

After verification, we will offer a suitable solution: replacement, credit note, or partial/full refund depending on the situation.

We take great care in packaging our products, especially hollow figures. We are not responsible for any breakage during transport. No compensation can be claimed for broken hollow figures.

Non-Food Products

For non-perishable items (empty boxes, accessories, etc.), a return may be accepted within 14 days provided that:

• the product is new,

• never used,

• in its original packaging.

Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility, unless we made an error.
